What if your children have missed some of the shots they were supposed to get?
Get a "catch-up" schedule so your children will be up to date on the shots they need. (You need Adobe Acrobat to open this file. If you don’t have it, click here for a free download.)

Can your children get free and low-cost immunization shots?
Yes, through the Vaccines for Children Program (VFC).

How do you know if your child qualifies?

To qualify, your child must be 18 years or younger and must fit into one of these groups:

  • Is eligible for Medicaid (learn about Medicaid in Philadelphia), or
  • Does not have any health insurance, or
  • Is Native American or Alaska Native, or
  • Has health insurance but it does not include vaccinations (immunizations) or it includes only a few kinds of shots. Then, your children must go to a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or Rural Health Clinic (RHC) for immunizations. Call (800) 232-2522 (or (800) 232-0233 for help in Spanish) to get a list of these clinics near you.
